CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING OR MAKING SUPPLY DONATIONS

PUMC is supporting the Freedom School Grier Heights/Oakhurst location at Antioch Baptist Church at 232 Skyland Avenue. The program runs from June 29 through July 31 and PUMC needs volunteers every Wednesday and on Friday, July 24. On Wednesdays in July, two volunteers are needed each day to help with walk-up/drive up material distribution. 

On Friday, July 24 PUMC is providing support to the Freedom School Fun Friday with 10 volunteers. These volunteers will help staff the pop-up site by interacting with the scholars in reading and enrichment activities, as well as general support for various outdoor games and activities. On Friday, the program expects to have groups of 30 scholars rotating through the activities every 45 minutes. Youth and adult volunteers are welcome. Youth volunteers must be a rising 10th grader or older.
