MARCH 2 / 11:15 AM, 12:30 PM, AND 6:30 PM
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, a period of forty days (excluding Sundays) in which Christians prepare spiritually for the celebration of Easter.
On Wednesday, March 2, join us for one of our two Ash Wednesday services, the first at 12:30 PM, the latter at 6:30 PM. The services emphasize a dual encounter: we confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God, symbolized by each of us receiving an Ash Cross on our foreheads or hands as believers in the Gospel and for our need for repentance. Rev. Brandon Dirks will deliver the message.
In addition, a child-friendly service for the children of the Weekday School, their parents, and anyone else who wants to attend will be held in Wolfe Hall at 11:15 AM.
