FALL UPDATE
Our boys are officially back in the groove and working harder than ever! As the season changes, we are digging deep into academics, expanding our enrichment programs, and strengthening our community partnerships.
Here is a look at what we’ve been up to this month:
Deepening Academics: Our boys now receive 90 minutes of individualized instruction four days a week. This personalized time supports their current school workload while actively bridging their learning gaps.
One-on-One Mentorship: We meet with each boy weekly to review grades, track absences, and build action plans. This ensures we understand every student's unique situation so we can effectively advocate for them at school.
Creative & Trade Exposure: Through wonderful partnerships with local nonprofits—Tools and Schools, Arts Plus, and the Blumenthal Theatre—our boys are exploring trade career pathways and creative self-expression.
A Night at the Theater: Twenty of our boys recently attended an exclusive behind-the-scenes workshop for Hell’s Kitchen (the story of Alicia Keys) and got to experience the live performance!
Growing with Providence: Our connection with Providence United Methodist Church continues to thrive. We have boys attending weekly youth groups, packing for the upcoming Fall Retreat, and hitting the court across four PUMC church basketball league teams.
Serving the Community: Our boys proudly showed up to serve at October’s Rise Against Hunger event and are already looking forward to their next opportunity to give back.
