SURROUND. We SURROUND our youth with opportunities for spiritual growth, safe learning environments, and Biblical Truths.
SEND. We SEND ourselves to those who are hurting, or have lost their way; to those who may not know Christ; and to those who are weary, worn, and weak.
Sip + Study
School work has gotten crazier over the years, with lots of homework, projects, tests, etc. Once a week during the school year, we will be meeting at different locations (I.e. Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, etc.) Each week we will choose day for study sessions. WIFI will be available at these locations.

Youth Making a Difference!
Mission Projects/Trips
PUMC Youth are committed to loving and serving others! We participate in year-round missional opportunities. In the summer both middle school and high school each have their own week-long mission trip to serve. Whether it’s in Asheville, Raleigh, Florida Keys, Atlanta… we are involved in hurricane relief, combating hunger, sorting food pantries, and more!
Mission Mondays
Each Monday from 9am to noon during the summer the youth (6th-12th) participate in local missional opportunities! Whether it’s handing out water bottles to the homeless, helping with crafts with the adults in UMAR, sorting food at Loaves and Fishes, or helping out at Classroom Central! Charlotte has endless opportunities for youth to serve!
Retreats & Lock-ins
Retreats and lock-ins are a way that youth strengthen their relationship with God and each other. Youth take part in weekend retreats at various camps and retreat centers. Each summer we head to the beach for spiritual growth and fun! Lock-ins allow youth to hang out, build relationships and participate in discussion groups, escape rooms, roller skating, trampoline parks and more!
We Serve!
There are many different ways we serve in the year, whether it’s helping clean around our church, singing Christmas carols at the homeless shelter, unloading/loading pumpkins at our annual fundraiser, or participating in soup kitchens… our youth love to serve!
