How do I get involved at Providence?

Providence offers numerous ways to get involved on Sunday mornings and beyond.  With twelve adult Sunday School classes and hundreds of servant ministries that include both local and global missions, there is truly something for everyone.

How do I find a Sunday School class?

Sunday School classes and their descriptions are available in the Education section of the Web site.  In addition, a church member is always available at the Welcome Desk in the atrium on Sunday mornings to assist visitors in locating the appropriate class.

Interested in becoming part of the Providence UMC family?

The Inquirers class is the place to start.  This class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 in the Parlor.  Here you will learn about all that Providence has to offer in a small group setting.  Contact Jean Willis for information.

Is childcare available?

Childcare is provided for infants through kindergarten age children on Sunday mornings.  During the 8:30 worship service, children of all ages meet in a single classroom.  During the Sunday School hour and 11:00 worship service, children gather by age for a lesson, snack and playtime.  Older children meet by grade level during Sunday School and accompany their parent to worship.
Childcare is also provided on Wednesday evenings during the Providence on Wednesday programs.

Where do I park?

The church parking lots can be accessed from Sharon Lane, Providence Road, or Ferncliff Road.  Handicapped parking spots are available near the Providence Road and Sharon Lane entrances.  Reserved visitor parking is available on Sunday mornings near the Providence Road entrance. Authorized overflow parking is available behind Eddie's Place and Leroy Fox Restaurants.
