Help People Affected By Hurricane Harvey

Begining this week, through the month of  September, the Church will assist with disaster relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, that continues to wreak havoc on the Texas coastline.

Providence UMC is a “Drop Off Location” for Flood Buckets in Charlotte!  Buckets may be left outside or inside the Elizabeth Lee Center, to the left of the Mission Center.

CONTACT: Missions Director, Brian Mateer

HOW CAN YOU HELP

Prayers:

Psalm 46  (KJV)

46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Donate a flood bucket:

Help UMCOR replenish their supply!  A list of flood bucket supply items may be found here.  Please read the FULL list of instructions. With many potentially suffering damage to their homes from flood waters, our greatest need is cleaning buckets.

Financial Support:

If you would like to make a donation to provide aid to those in need, please make checks payable to Providence United Methodist Church and write “Hurricane Harvey Relief,” in the Memo line.  You may either mail your check to 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte 28211, Attn: Business Office, or bring it to the Welcome Desk.

Providence members may also donate through My Providence.  On the drop box menu, please select UMCOR.  Thank you.
