Boy Scout Troop 11 continues to be a strong and active Troop in the Mecklenburg County Council. Boy-led, the Troop strives to develop leaders as the boys organize and lead activities for the Troop. Scouting in Mecklenburg County enjoys a long and rich history with Troops dating to 1913.
The primary fundraiser for the Troop is our annual barbeque every March. Over the years Providence UMC has been an enthusiastic supporter of this event. Here is the information for 2019.
Scouting makes possible wonderful opportunities for adventure and service, teaches lifelong values, and is instrumental in developing tomorrow’s leaders. Boy Scout Troop 11 at Providence UMC meets every Monday night at 7 PM. In 2019, Scout Sunday is February 10 and will be held at all services at the Church.
Troop 111, a new Scout Troop for girls 11-17, received its charter on Monday, February 4, 2019. This is very exciting news for Scouts BSA as they welcome new members!
